Missing
Missing explores the psychologies inherent within the context of sex establishments as uncanny spaces, and of a homely/sordid dichotomy. The images are devoid of people and trace in-between the action, and aftermath of activities. Utilising a spontaneous approach to image-taking and working quickly in low and artificial light, the work meditates on issues of alienation, ritual, guilt, and prostitution as institution.
The Missing series forms part of National Museums Liverpool collection.
The work will extend beyond the gallery presentation to a book format, planned for 2012.
